Gameplay

Plays just like Defender minus the requirement to save people from abduction. Instead you just need to kill all enemies (conveniently shown on the mini map). Once they're all dead you go to a rescue point to collect these weird star creatures on the ground, Choplifter style.
Movement is ok but very floaty. The camera swings wildly when you turn around so it's best to slowly inch forward which moving up and down while shooting. There's no powerups or subweapons so the gameplay grows stale quickly.

Level Design

The stages are called waves. Enemies spawn in frequently and sometimes turn into aggressive red guys. Others have slightly different behavior like releasing even smaller enemies when killed. Each wave ends with a boss fight. There's no significant difference between stages so again, it gets stale.

Theme

No story to speak of. Feels like a long lost arcade game.

Art Style

Looks like an Amiga game. Background looks great - Jupiter and its moons. Sprites are teeny tiny.

Audio

No music. Sounds are awesome.
