Kevin Keegan's Player Manager

Genre: sports - soccer

Publisher: Imagineer

Year: 1993

System: SNES PAL

Gameplay Score: 0

Gameplay Notes:

There's a dribbling mechanic like in Super Kick Off, and the speed and other mechanics of Sensible Soccer. In other words, tiny sprites sprint around the screen at lightning speed without any means of controlling where the ball goes. Unplayable.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Normal modes plus Practice. Also a metric (it's European, after all) ton of seemingly useless screens off of the home screen. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what any of them were even showing me, much less what they did.

Theme Score: 0

Theme Notes:

I don't know who this guy is, but his enormous floating head is on every screen. Make it go away!

Art Style Score: 1

Art Style Notes:

Teeny tiny sprites down from a birds eye view. They might be even smaller than those in Sensible Soccer. Very minimalist

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

The best aspect of this awful title. Crowd noise and good menu music.

Overall Score: 18

Review ID: 3915
